Limited Company Specialists
Year-End Sorted. Tax Bill Minimised. No Surprises.
Corporation tax is one of the biggest annual costs for a limited company — and the biggest opportunity to make sure you are paying exactly what you owe, not a penny more. Capital allowances, expenses, pension contributions, director pay structure — all of these affect your final tax bill.
Figures UK manage the entire year-end process for limited companies in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. We prepare your statutory accounts, calculate your corporation tax liability, file your CT600 with HMRC, and submit your accounts to Companies House — all within your fixed monthly fee.
As a Xero-only firm — one of the very first in the UK to adopt Xero with our clients, backed by receipt extraction software — your company accounts are built from clean, real-time data all year, never reconstructed from a shoebox at year end.
Unlike accountants who only appear at year end, we manage your books monthly in Xero. That means when year-end arrives, we already know your numbers — no scramble, no delays, no unexpected bills.

Common Questions
Corporation Tax FAQs
How easy is it to switch accountants, and can you take over partway through the year?
Very easy — and yes, you can switch at any point in the year. As one of the very first UK firms to use Xero with clients, we make the handover seamless: we request your records, migrate your books into Xero, and handle the transfer to HMRC and Companies House for you. There's no disruption to your deadlines and no need to wait for year end.
What is corporation tax?
Corporation tax is the tax that limited companies pay on their profits. The current main rate is 25% for profits above £250,000, with a small profits rate of 19% for profits below £50,000 and marginal relief for profits between £50,000 and £250,000. Figures UK calculate your liability accurately and advise on planning to minimise it legally.
When is the corporation tax payment deadline?
Corporation tax is due nine months and one day after the end of your company's accounting period. For example, if your year end is 31 March 2025, your tax payment is due by 1 January 2026. Your CT600 return must be filed within 12 months of the accounting period end. Figures UK ensure both deadlines are met.
What is the difference between corporation tax and self-assessment?
Corporation tax is paid by limited companies on company profits. Self-assessment is paid by individuals — including company directors — on their personal income (salary, dividends, rental income). As a director, you will typically have both obligations. Figures UK handle both as part of your monthly service.
Can I claim expenses through my limited company?
Yes. Allowable business expenses reduce your corporation tax bill by reducing your taxable profit. Common deductible expenses include salaries, office costs, equipment, vehicle costs, professional fees (including accounting fees), and business travel. Figures UK review all expenses as part of your annual accounts preparation to ensure every legitimate claim is made.
Do I need to file accounts at Companies House?
Yes. All limited companies must file annual statutory accounts at Companies House, along with a confirmation statement. Failure to file on time results in automatic penalties starting at £150 for accounts up to one month late. Figures UK handle all Companies House filings as part of your monthly service.
Is corporation tax included in my monthly fee?
Yes. Corporation tax preparation and filing, year-end statutory accounts, and Companies House filing are all included within your fixed monthly fee — from £220/month for limited companies. There are no additional end-of-year charges.
